At over 1000 years old, Dublin is a city rich in tradition
and can easily be described as a visitors' paradise. From historical tours
to bars and restaurants and of course not forgetting the Guinness Storehouse,
Dublin has an abundance of visitor attractions to keep you busy during your
stay at Kilronan House.
At the top of everyones list is a visit to the Guinness
Storehouse - and so it should be…what else is Ireland more famous for?
Most easily accessible by Dublin's Hop
On - Hop Off Sightseeing Bus, the self guided tours take approximately
1 ½ - 2 hours and finish at the Gravity Bar with a complimentary Guinness.
Within a 15 minute walk from Kilronan House you'll find the Book of Kells,
housed at the historic Trinity
College, Dublin's oldest University (1592). Not far from here is Dublin
Castle from which Dublin was originally named due to the Dubh Linn or
Black Pool that was once present on the current site of the Castle gardens.
Almost next door to Kilronan House is Irelands' National
Concert Hall. Featuring weekly performances by the resident RTÉ National
Symphony Orchestra and frequent performances by some of the worlds most well
known and respected musicians, the National Concert Hall offers something
for all music lovers.
And a visit to Dublin just isn't complete without dinner and drink in the
Temple Bar precinct. Nestled between the River Liffey and Grafton Street,
stop in at one of the traditional Irish pubs or modern restaurants that line
the cobbled streets. For some great food and craic (Irish for FUN)
stop in at Oliver
St John Gogarty offering live music daily from 2.30pm or why not enjoy
a hearty pub meal at O'Neills,
located opposite the Dublin Tourism Centre on Suffolk Street.
